Poppy Wave in Lincoln
If you missed the poppies in London or want to see them again, here's another chance. The iconic poppy sculptures are coming to Lincoln Castle
The Poppy Wave is a sweeping arch of bright red poppy heads suspended on towering stalks. These two sculptures, by artist Paul Cummins and designer Tom Piper, marking the centenary of the outbreak of war, are coming to Lincoln Castle 28th May 2016. (see more about the poppies click here)
On the way back try The Terrace at The Rest- World Teas and Coffees on sunny terrace with wonderful views over Lincoln (fingers crossed for the weather !). Located 2 mins from the Castle, follow Steep Hill down from the square just past the florists and opposite Clarins. The Rest is a great place to stop and enjoy freshly made paninis, sandwiches, cakes and pastries and a drink on the terrace or in the beautiful coffee house. 2 mins from the Castle and the Poppies.
Staying over? why not try the Rooms at The Rest - If you are looking for somewhere special to stay for a lovely night or two away and enjoy everything that Lincoln has to offer try bed and breakfast at our boutique hotel.
